Marjani Forté-Saunders & Everett Saunders / 7NMS (Fall 2020 – Fall 2021) KST is thrilled to be a co-commissioner for A Prophet’s Tale, a new forthcoming multidisciplinary body of work from artists Marjani Forté-Saunders and Everett Saunders that upholds Hip Hop music’s Emcee as the “minister of global transformation.” The work is set to include live performances, a publication, and an album. For fall 2020, Forté-Saunders and Saunders who make up the music and dance duo 7NMS, will facilitate a conversation sharing the literary relevance of the Emcee and the lyric with Rahaman Kilpatrick and Farooq Ameen Al-Said of 1Hood Media. A Prophet’s Tale reading list will be available through partner presenter City of Asylum and the dialogue will be presented by KST in November 2020.
