THE ALLOY SCHOOL
Artistry is for everyBODY!
The Alloy School at KST hosts recreational and inclusive learning sessions every season. The Winter/Spring 2024 session spans ten weeks of Saturdays at KST’s Alloy Studios. The Session begins with an Open House, followed by eight weeks of classes, culminating in a public Showcase and celebratory Let’s Move! Family Dance Party.
Each Saturday, explore six diverse class offerings, including Arts & Crafts, Hip Hop, Beginning Ballet, and more! Every class is led by expert teaching artists and designed to provide insight into the history and practice of various art forms. Come as you are. Classes are held in an environment where toddlers to teens and elders can enjoy; leotards, pajamas, and business suits are all welcome!
To experience all The Alloy School has to offer, we encourage all participants to register for the full ten-week session, available at $10 a class! Or, drop in to try out a class at any point throughout the session, starting at $12.50 a class.

Interested in registering for classes or already registered? Stop by The Alloy School for a 60-minute interactive presentation introducing this session’s lineup of Teaching Artists and classes. Enjoy a brief demonstration from each artist, tour our facilities, and enjoy light refreshments. Attendance is not required for class registration, but is a great way to explore our unique offerings!

Pay What Moves You: $5 – $20
Celebrate the six-week Alloy School journey with our Showcase and Let’s Move! Family Dance Party. The event includes a one-hour public celebration of learning during which each class will present a performance. The Showcase is followed by a family-friendly dance party for all. Community partners will be present hosting kids crafts throughout the dance party.

Kelly Strayhorn Theater is supported in part by the taxpayers of Allegheny County through a public grant from the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD). RAD works here.
