YOUTH & FAMILY

KST produces and presents two annual family focused events featuring performances by local youth  ensembles on the KST mainstage, and tabling by community partner organizations in the theater lobby. 

Both programs began in the 2009/2010 season and have participation by long-term partners including Alumni Theater Company, Dreams of Hope, K-Theatre Dance Complex, Balafon West African Dance Ensemble, and Hill Dance Academy Theatre. Community partners have included Assemble, City of Asylum, Hugh Lane Wellness Center, Youth Enrichment Services, Repair the World Pittsburgh, Bloomfield Garfield Corporation, Boom Concepts, True T PGH, The Union Project and more! 

The Youth & Family programs also include The Alloy School which offers recreational and inclusive learning across dance, theater, and visual art practices.

The heart of our family programs are to center and uplift historically resilient folks and youth within our community. Check out these events in our 2023 / 2024 season!
