This class offers an engaging introduction to the world of dance with a focus on building fundamental techniques and fostering creativity. Embark on a vibrant journey of movement exploration through the infectious beats of hip hop to the graceful elegance of ballet and the lively rhythms of jazz. Students will delve into a variety of dance styles.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Chandler Bingham started her training in ballet, jazz, modern, and contemporary ballet at an early age. She holds a B.A. in Dance and a minor in History from Point Park University. She has performed choreography by Staycee Pearl, Daniel Karasik, Kiki Lucas, David Norsworthy, Shana Simmons, and many others; and has performed in stage / film work with Bricolage Production Company, Rashaad Newsome, and Allana Clarke. In addition to being a multidisciplinary performance artist, she is also a published model. Chandler has been a Company Dance Artist with Staycee Pearl Dance Project & Soy Sos since 2019.

Pay What Moves You: $5 – $20
Celebrate the six-week Alloy School journey with our Showcase and Let’s Move! Family Dance Party. The event includes a one-hour public celebration of learning during which each class will present a performance. The Showcase is followed by a family-friendly dance party for all. Community partners will be present hosting kids crafts throughout the dance party.
The Alloy School is made possible with support from the Henry C. Frick Educational Fund of the Buhl Foundation, and The Grable Foundation.
