This session introduces participants to OBS (Open Broadcasting Software), a free software video switching tool for live streaming and live to tape recording. We will look at how OBS, ONS.ninja, and streaming platforms can help artists present their work online. Basic topics will be: cameras and video playback, using effects and transitions, adding remote participants, controlling audio, and connecting to your streaming services. Once participants learn the basics, many online resources are available to take your stream to the next level!

Jonathan Robert Bucci is a Pittsburgh native and alum of Point Park University. After a decade of freelance production and design, he has formalized his work under the brand Jonathan Bucci Productions, LLC. Prior to the pandemic, his artistic work was primarily in production management, production design, and lighting design. Since COVID-19 has rocked the arts and entertainment community, he has spent much of his time in video and livestream production. Recently he has worked on KST’s virtual fall season and assorted other streaming productions. In addition to production, Jonathan works with Integrated Theater Systems, Ltd. as a systems integrator and education lead.
