Oooh yea, get it, get it! Come experience the fundamental elements of Hip Hop dance movement and style. This energetic class embraces the rich culture of Hip Hop’s past, present, and future to promote artistic self-expression.The intergenerational class is taught in an adaptive style, allowing folks at all levels to find their groove. 


ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Rickia Davenport has been shaping the lives of students through dance and fitness for over 12 years. A native of Pittsburgh’s Hill District and South Hills neighborhoods, Rickia attended Potomac State College in West Virginia. Currently, Rickia serves as the Arts Education director with K-Theatre Dance Complex, is a lead Dance Instructor for Propel Charter Schools and is CEO and Owner of KaiFiTT, a health and wellness company focusing on Mental, Physical and Financial Health. She has also cultivated dance partnerships with Voices against Violence, Gwen’s Girls, Dance Junction, Be Healthy Be Smart Fitness and more!

Participants will sample the program through interactive demonstrations that introduce the theme and learning goals of each class offering. Open House attendance is not required for class registration, but it’s a great way to learn about The Alloy School!

Celebrate the ten-week Alloy School journey with our Showcase and Let’s Move! Family Dance Party. The event includes a one-hour public celebration of learning during which each class will present a performance. The Showcase is followed by a family-friendly dance party for all. Community partners will host kids crafts throughout the dance party.
