Join us at KST’s Alloy Studios for a workshop with Freshworks artist Lucy Chen. This 60-minute class invites participants to explore full-bodied movement through a guided warm-up and by learning a segment of choreography. This beginner-friendly class unpacks Classical Chinese dance basics, from breath to hand articulation, and combines them with modern dance styles.

- ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Lucy Chen is a dancer, graphic designer, and artist exploring the intersection of movement, shape, and culture. Her artistic practice examines the history of dance, the fusion of cultures in a global society, and how visual design can interact with movement. Trained in Chinese classical and folk dance, Lucy’s choreographic work interrogates the blend of traditional and modern dance styles. Lucy’s interest in waacking also informs her dance practice, using posing and punking to tell stories.
