Get ready for an unforgettable night as we honor the unparalleled legacy of Whitney Houston, affectionately hailed “The Voice.” With her soaring range, effortless grace, and unmatched vocal power, Whitney redefined global superstardom. Selling over 200 million records, earning 11 No. 1 singles, and winning 6 GRAMMYs, she remains one of the most iconic performers of the 20th century.

Experience Whitney’s legendary catalog come to life. Led by Musical Director Dwayne Fulton, this stellar ensemble features lead vocalists Mychole Starr, Chantal Joseph, Anqwenique, Anita Levels, and Kylie Edwards, supported by Katy Cotten, Delana Flowers, and Carmen Miller of the BGVs. Accompanied by musicians Claude Flowers (Bass), Paris Akins (Keys), J.R Jones (Drums) and Michael Davis (Guitar), we’ll journey through Whitney’s greatest hits in a night of celebration, remembrance, and musical brilliance. 

Since 2020, KST has collaborated with Dwayne Fulton on a recurring series of tribute concerts honoring musical legends. From Black & Solid Gold: Hits of Magnificent Motown to the sold-out When Doves Cry Prince tribute, R.E.S.P.E.C.T.: An Aretha Franklin Tribute Concert, and Simply the Best honoring Tina Turner, these one-of-a-kind events have showcased some of Pittsburgh’s finest musicians. In 2025, we’re thrilled to present WHITNEY, a powerful tribute that will inspire you to dance, sing, and celebrate Whitney Houston’s enduring musical legacy. Concert goers who pay at the elevated $65 level will enjoy early entry to the theater, one drink ticket, and light refreshments courtesy of KST.

Chantal Joseph is a dynamic and versatile musician and educator based in Pittsburgh, PA. Originally from Cape Cod, Chantal has played at the Newport Jazz Festival and with renowned ensembles such as the Boston Pops and Cape Symphony. She continues to perform with New York based Perry Rossi Orchestras. Since relocating to Pittsburgh, she has continued to captivate audiences and was even named Best R&B Performer by the Pittsburgh City Paper.

 


Pittsburgh native, Anqwenique (Lead Vocals) is a versatile vocalist and educator specializing in opera, classical music, jazz and soul. Anqwenique has performed lead operatic roles such as Magda Sorel in Carl Menotti’s The Consul and Zerlina in Mozart’s Don Giovanni. She holds a BFA degree in Voice Performance from Indiana University of PA. Anqwenique is the founder and director of Groove Aesthetic, a Pittsburgh based multidisciplinary artist collective experimenting with contemporary performance and collaborative processes.

 


Mychole Starr (Lead Vocals), an American singer, songwriter, and producer, is celebrated for her entrancing voice and unconventional artistry. She has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony and the Go-Go Band Northeast Groovers, winning Best Female Vocalist at the 2009 Go-Go Awards. Starr has collaborated with artists like Twista, opened for Jill Scott and Tory Lanez, and charted on J-Pop. Currently signed with Sony’s The Orchard, she released Jaded The EP in 2022.

 


Anita Levels is a vocal artist and songwriter who began singing at 3 years old in Frankfurt, West Germany. Texas-born from a New Orleans musical family, singing and performance are in her blood. Anita’s powerhouse, soulful, but lark-like vocals have graced national and international audiences. She’s been featured in the NFL 50th Official Super Bowl commercial, the Pittsburgh International Jazz Festival and with the Pittsburgh Jazz Orchestra.

 

 


Kylie Edwards is a Pittsburgh native and currently a Junior at Carnegie Mellon University earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama. She has been fortunate enough to work regionally at Pittsburgh CLO (Seussical; A Musical Christmas Carol; Anything Goes; Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812; Guys & Dolls) The Muny (Dreamgirls). She is overjoyed to be joining her uncle Dwayne Fulton on stage again.

 

 


Katy Cotten, a Pittsburgh native and CAPA alum, has toured Europe with The Gospel Family and the New Millennium Gospel Singers. A celebrated soprano, she earned honors such as NCGCC’s Soloist of the Year and worked with Kem and Fred Hammond. Katy has performed with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and performed in Dinah at Pittsburgh Playwrights Theatre. Recently returning from a gospel tour in Italy, she’s thrilled to join this event!

 


Delana Flowers, is a dynamic vocalist with a unique sound. She has graced stages all over this city and in her hometown of Lancaster, Pennsylvania in musicals like Dinah!, Dreamgirls, Ain’t Misbehavin, Queens of the Blues, Black Nativity, The Wiz, Mahalia Jackson: Standing on Holy Ground, and Little Shop of Horrors. Delana is eternally grateful to God for blessing her with artistic ability and with opportunities to share her gifts.

 


Carmen Miller (Background Vocals) Pittsburgh native Carmen Miller is a dynamic vocalist, harpist, engineer and community advocate whose artistry resonates far beyond the stage. Known for her powerful vocal range and a’ capella skills, Carmen has graced venues such as the Hillman Center for Performing Arts, PNC Park, and Kelly Strayhorn Theatre. She has collaborated with esteemed artists, including Teresa Hawthorne and Melinda Colaizzi, and serves as a lead and background vocalist for the BGV’s aka Background Vocals.

 

With over 30 years of experience as a pianist, music director, and composer, Dwayne Fulton (Musical Director) understands the power of the arts. Dwayne is the founder and Chief Executive of Kingdom People Productions and The SouLyfe Cafe. Dwayne has accompanied Grover Washington, Jr., Roger Humphries, Sean Jones, and Nathan Davis. He has shared the stage with Keith Sweat, Guy, Fred Hammond, Bobby Jones, Kirk Franklin, The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Michael Bublé, and Stevie Wonder.

 


Claude Flowers (Bass) is a multi-instrumentalist Pittsburgh native. He began playing in church at the age of 8 and continues to play to this day. His gift has given him the opportunity to travel the world performing. He currently serves as the Music Director at Mount Ararat Baptist Church where he has served for over 11 years. He is also the Co-founder and Executive Director of a youth non-profit called the Youth Enrichment Association.


J.R. Jones (Drums), a dedicated member of Mount Ararat Music Ministry since 1998, contributes his musical talents to local choirs and groups. Noteworthy achievements include drum accompaniment on live recordings like Patrick Polk & Worship’s, “An Awesome God” and Mount Ararat Music Ministry’s, “Called to Relationship”. J.R. and his bandmates from The Brydge released their debut album, “Livin Lyfe: The Experience, Vol. I”. 

 

 


A versatile guitarist, Michael Davis (Guitar), has performed in a wide range of musical styles, from classical and gospel to musical theater. He has contributed his guitar skills to tributes like “When Doves Cry” and “Simply the Best” at the prestigious Kelly Strayhorn Theater. Additionally, he held the position of resident guitarist for the Tony Award-winning musical “Passing Strange,” written by Stew, during its run at the Alumni Theater Company.
