Artistry is for everyBODY!

The Alloy School is a creative community where uniqueness is celebrated and all gender expressions, cultures, and abilities are welcome. In this safe space, recreational learning occurs through guided instruction and collaborative discovery. The Alloy School invites folks of all ages and experience levels to share in the joy of artistic expression while building connections, skill, and esteem. Every class session is led by expert teaching artists and designed to provide insight into the history, practice, and applications of various art forms. Learn more about The Alloy School here.

Registration for the full ten-week session is encouraged, though participants are welcome to drop in for classes at any point during the season.

Celebrate the ten-week Alloy School journey with our Showcase and Let’s Move! Family Dance Party. The event includes a one-hour public celebration of learning  on the KST Mainstage during which each class will present a performance. The Showcase is followed by a family-friendly dance party for all in the KST Lobby. Community partners will be present hosting kids crafts throughout the dance party.

Kelly Strayhorn Theater is supported in part by the taxpayers of Allegheny County through a public grant from the Allegheny Regional Asset District (RAD). RAD works here.
