With World Refugee Day coming up on June 20, we at Duolingo are reflecting on the deep impact that language and education can have on refugees as they settle into new places.

Join us on June 19 – the eve of World Refugee Day – for a special event and premiere of Something Like Home, a documentary featuring stories we recently recorded of Duolingo learners who have been forced to leave their homes and find new ways to survive. We were incredibly inspired by what we found, and hope you will be, too.

This event will feature a film screening, Q&A, and photo gallery. Drinks and food are included. We hope you will join us for a special evening to raise awareness and support for refugees globally and here at home in Pittsburgh.
