Shana Simmons Dance and The Moving Architects — “Objective I”
The culmination of a collaboration between Shana Simmons Dance (PGH) and The Moving Architects (NYC), this exciting split-bill performance explores notions of placement and displacement. Featuring work by choreographers Shana Simmons and Erin Carlisle-Norton, Objective I is the result of an experimental creative process where each artist created and edited their own work—and each other’s. Along with the Objective I portion of the program, repertory works from both companies will be presented. 60 minutes.
This project is supported through the Heinz Small Arts Initiative and is co-presented by Shana Simmons Dance.
Presented as part of Kelly Strayhorn Theater’s Alloy Creative Lab series, which supports collaborative experiments at the intersection of art, ideas, community and action.
