The Pittsburgh Jazz Philosophy 2023 brings together 4 unique sounds in one incredible concert to raise awareness about mental health and fight depression – this is the power of music in its rawest form.
This fundraiser concert features The Michael Bartlett Trio with guitar-led, vocal-forward jazz in Bartlett’s singular conversational style; LL Mari, a pioneering female DJ and artist of Watt City Worldwide Ent performing a crossover of jazz and R&B with soulful melodies and an old-school vibe; fueled by his extensive record collection, BusCrates’ DJ set draws inspiration from classic boom-bap hip-hop and the vibrant realm of post-disco boogie-funk; and poet, Blossom Nicole, founder of the Poets of Steel network, explores themes of love, hate, success, failure, and suppression in her work while supporting love, healing, and growth in our community.
In partnership with Houzeofwaxx, Staunton Farm and NAMI, this fundraiser looks to raise awareness, educate and normalize the talks about Mental Health. All proceeds benefit Mental Health Awareness programs and services.
