This annual spring festival of dances from India is back in person at Kelly Strayhorn Theater with two original choreographic works celebrating environment, diversity, inclusivity, and equity. Vilaya is a visual treat with dances from various parts of India by eminent local and national artists. Featured presentations include Prakrit, a dance theater work about Mother Nature by Nandanik Dance Troupe (with narrative in English), Manipuri by Sanjib Bharracharya and group, and a story and a song dance theater by Navarasa Dance Theater and Sindhoor-Natyaveda Dance Theater of LA.
