Join The Flea Artistic Director Niegel Smith and theater artist Adil Mansoor at Under the Radar’s Coming Attractions for a conversation about Amm(i)gone, Mansoor’s recent work that employs Antigone as a tool to locate love across faith in a Pakistani immigrant family. Don’t miss the New York premiere at The Flea in April 2025!

Developed by Hatch Arts Collective, Amm(i)gone was commissioned by Kelly Strayhorn Theater (Pittsburgh, PA), The Theater Offensive (Boston, MA) and the National Performance Network (New Orleans, LA) between 2019 – 2023. The work was further developed by Woolly Mammoth Theater Company (Washington DC), where a new production premiered in April 2024. Following performances at Long Wharf Theater Company (New Haven, CT) in June 2024, Amm(i)gone is set for a NYC premiere in April 2025 produced by Play Co. and Woolly Mammoth Theater Company, Kelly Strayhorn Theater and The Flea, where performances will take place. The next stop for the national tour will be co-presented by Theater Mu with Jungle Theater (Minneapolis, MN) in July 2025, with additional engagements to be announced.

Adil Mansoor is a theatre director centering queer folks and people of color. Credits Include Manhattan Theatre Club, New York Theatre Workshop, The New Dramatists, The Poetry Project, and others. He was a NYTW 2050 Directing Fellow, and an Art of Practice Fellow and Community Leader with Sundance. He was part of the inaugural Artist Caucus with Baltimore Center Stage, Long Wharf, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, and Woolly Mammoth. MFA in Directing from Carnegie Mellon.
