Dance Africa: Pittsburgh returns for its sixth year with performances by renowned ensembles from Pittsburgh and beyond, in two different programs that showcase the music and dance of West Africa and the Caribbean. This annual celebration takes on greater meaning with the passing of DanceAfrica Founder and lifelong dance advocate Charles “Baba Chuck” Davis, described by Dance Magazine as a “mentor to virtually every black dance company in America.” Join KST and Legacy Arts in a tribute that honors Davis’  vital contributions to dance, and the legacies that will continue to be upheld by artists across the nation and around the globe.

A variety of dance workshops take place on Friday through Sunday at KST’s Alloy Studios. Workshops are limited to 25 attendees per class, please register in advance to reserve your spot.
Community workshops are designed to challenge the physicality of participants of all skill-levels.
