Philip Wesley Gates & Jamison Edgar, Queer History in Motion

KST Presents

In this movement-based workshop, we will use our bodies to investigate histories found within the archives of the Pittsburgh Queer History Project. Through collaborative prompts and exercises, participants will explore how queer lives and memories move between archival storage, digital systems, and the human body. This is a chance to get an inside look at the processes used to create Nearest Neighbors, as well as discovering new perspectives on how we might connect respectfully to the past in order to open ourselves to possible futures.

The workshop is open to anyone of any ability or background. Come with curiosity and an open mind.

Don’t miss Philip Wesley Gates & Jamison Edgar’s Freshworks Residency Presentation of Nearest Neighbors on Friday, October 4th at 8:00pm.
