Growing up in a small town, lys scott (she/they) discovered that living authentically sometimes meant being called the “Crazy Girl.” As a first-generation LGBTQIA+ Thai American artist, lys brings their fearless storytelling and multidisciplinary performance style together in chronicles of a crazy girl. This performance in progress invites audiences inside lys’s inner world – a whimsical, nonlinear journey exploring the liberation of individuality, sexuality, and relationships with their immigrant family.
Embracing musical spontaneity, theatrical performance, and media design, each scene reveals a new layer of their emotions, rooted in identity, resilience, and self-discovery.

- ABOUT THE ARTISTS
lys scott (she/they) is a small-town dreamer turned fearless storyteller. As a first-generation LGBTqia+Thai American, lys spent years navigating the space between fitting in and standing out; channeling a journey of identity, resilience, and self-discovery. They have performed at venues including Kelly Strayhorn Theater, The Andy Warhol Museum, Carnegie Museum of Art, and Mattress Factory, as well as at festivals including Three Rivers Arts Festival, Millvale Music Festival, and Pittsburgh Pride. lys has also toured in cities such as Pittsburgh, NYC, Washington D.C and Baltimore.
Bianca is a multi-talented mixed media artist, writer, and special effects makeup artist. Born and raised in NYC, they now bring their diverse creative passions to their new home in Pittsburgh. Bianca holds a specialized business degree, seamlessly blending their entrepreneurial mindset with their artistic vision. Whether they are crafting intricate visual pieces, doodling, painting, or penning spooky stories, Bianca’s lifelong mission is to explore all the vibrant world has to offer.
