Get energized and explore African arts traditions with Balafon West African Dance Ensemble. All bodies, ages, and experience levels are invited to deepen dance technique or simply get moving to captivating rhythms. Each 6-week class series offers a fun way to connect with a captivating dance form. Drop-ins welcome.
Community Classes are beginner-friendly spaces geared towards the fitness and fundamentals needed for all dance levels. Move at your own pace just for the fun of it while letting loose and tapping into the spirit of lively, liberating African dance.
Company Classes with Balafon members offer deeper dives into African dance choreography and culture geared towards intermediate/advanced dancers. These sessions feature live drumming focus on dance forms from various West African regions.
