Beginner Full Class Series Registration: $35
Experienced Class: $7 per class

The Pittsburgh Scottish Country Dance Society is an affiliate of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.

For individuals having no experience with Scottish Country Dancing, but interested in learning, the Beginner + Basic 5-Class Series involves learning Scottish Dance steps, formations, and easy Scottish Country Dances that involve group social dancing and no partner needed. Classes are taught by Certified Scottish Country Dance instructors. The Scottish Country Dances progress from easier to intermediate level of skill, across the five classes.

Individuals with Scottish Dance experience may attend the Experienced Classes (for non-beginners) that immediately follow each Beginner+Basic Class.

Pittsburgh Scottish Country Dance Society queries for availability for each class; therefore, individuals are asked to contact them before showing up to class so the instructors can be sure there are enough people to dance. Call or e-mail to register for the Beginner or Experienced classes at 412-915-0585 (leave a message) or email pscds-email@verizon.net. Participants will be placed on the email list. The first email notice will ask if the dancer plans to attend that week’s lesson, followed by a second email notice if the queried class will be held.

COVID-19 vaccines are strongly suggested. Masks are encouraged but not required.
