Dive into the percussion traditions of Guinea and Senegal like djembe, kutiro, balafon, and more, in a small-group setting led by master musicians of the Balafon ensemble. Sessions are kept intimate to support meaningful learning, helping you build fluency with rhythms and the cultural context behind them week by week.
This class welcomes all levels. Drop-ins are available, but signing on for the full session is where the practice and rhythms really take root. Instruments can be made available. Register to secure yours and your spot.

Sticking around after music class? Balafon Dance classes begin immediately afterward. Put what you’ve learned to work by jumping into dance class or drumming the warm-up once you’ve got the rhythm under your hands.
