Classes explore traditional dances from various West African regions. Some classes feature live drumming accompaniment.
Company Classes with Balafon members provide intermediate/advanced dancers with intensive training in choreography while learning the cultural significance behind the rhythms, building musicality, and authentic embodied expression.
Balafon West African Dance Ensemble invites you to stay tuned! The traditional West African dance class series runs weekly from September – December 2025, and additional classes will be announced soon.
