KST Presents

5p Workshop
KST’s Alloy Studios
5530 Penn Ave :: Map

Curated by award-winning poet Terrance Hayes, this interactive workshop invites everyone to discover contemporary poetics in practice. The workshop takes place in conjunction with a reading on March 21 at the University of Pittsburgh, centered on questions of poetry and race in America, and how the humanities engage with social problems. The convening hosts acclaimed poets Rickey Laurentiis, Nate Marshall, Lyrae Van Clief-Stefanon, Ross Gay, Afaa Michael Weaver and local luminary Toi Derricotte.

Presented as part of KST’s Penn Avenue Poetics in partnership with The Center for African American Poetry and Poetics (CAAPP) and the Pitt Poetry Series at the University of Pittsburgh.
