Inclusive Innovation Summit is returning for a fourth year in a row! It’s an opportunity for local organizations and businesses to come together and showcase their vision for inclusion in Pittsburgh.

Get ready for an evening of innovation, equity and culture. There will be a keynote address from one of the country’s leading inclusive venture capital firms, Backstage Capital. — There will also be performances from artists across Pittsburgh, and Choolaah will be dishing out some delicious Indian BBQ beforehand!

All of the programming will be free of charge and complimentary childcare, bus passes and refreshments will be provided.

MEET THE SPEAKERS

Brian Burley; Founder, YNGBLKPGH
Brian Burley, an MBA graduate from the University of Pittsburgh and native son of the City of Pittsburgh, currently works as a Strategic Corporate Consultant at the Silicon Valley based Omnicell’s Cranberry Woods office. During Burley’s time at the Katz Graduate School of Business, he was profiled for his work with the university and UPMC on creating a framework for measuring the validity of sustainable practices currently undertaken by the health system. He also spearheaded a marketing campaign with American Eagle all while completing his MBA in under a year! As a high school graduate of Schenley High in the city, Burley then ventured to Kentucky to attend Morehead State University where he played football, excelled in on-campus leadership organizations, and created the Minority Leadership Caucus, an organization that still exists, five-plus years since Burley has graduated. Following his time at Morehead State, he came back to Pittsburgh where he worked as a branch manager with PNC. During that time, he also began to work as a mentor and weekly speaker with the 100 Black Men of Western PA’s program that he still attends regularly. Outside of his work with the 100, Burley was named as a 2015 BMe Community Leader for the work he is diligently doing in order to promote the positives that the next generation of Black Pittsburgh is accomplishing regularly and in presenting a new narrative that our youth are unfortunately not always used to hearing. Burley currently lives in the city where he is the proud husband to his wife, Brittini, and father to his son, Jackson.

Yvonne Campos; President, Next Act Fund
Yvonne Campos is the Founder and President of Next Act Fund, as well as a nationally recognized businesswoman, speaker, and market research consultant. Founded in 2016 in SouthWestern PA, Next Act Fund helps female investors grow their personal wealth by investing in early-stage, women-owned and led companies. Yvonne is a former entrepreneur and an active member of the Pittsburgh business community. She has been recognized locally and nationally for her entrepreneurship and community involvement. She currently serves on the board of the, Kelly Strayhorn Theater, Highmark Health, Chatham University’s Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship, and the Pittsburgh Dance Council. She is also on the honor boards of WQED Multimedia and Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania.

Del John; Principal, Backstage Capital
Del Johnson is a Principal at Backstage Capital focused on sourcing and vetting potential portfolio investments, as well as supporting operations on the East Coast. Previously, Del worked with the People Operations team at Google coordinating the engineering hiring committee, directing the candidate gifts program for the Mountain View headquarters, and developing an internal initiative that added over 50 women and minority engineers to the company’s hiring pipeline. He was also an award-winning account manager at Oracle, where he led complex B2B enterprise and mid-market software sales cycles from sourcing to close. Del holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley and received his Juris Doctorate from Columbia Law School.

Delvina Morrow; Board Chair, Prototype
Delvina is a strategic thinker helping to set the strategic vision for and organize the relationship management practice for organizations. — Delvina has worked to design, build and drive the growth of a robust relationship ecosystem for the companies she has served. Each ecosystem in which she has worked, has thrived from her ability to help companies forge, build and maintain essential relationships with top stakeholders such as:

William Peduto; Mayor,  City of Pittsburgh
William Peduto was elected to the office of Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh in the General Election on November 5, 2013, and took office as Pittsburgh’s 60th Mayor in January of 2014. Prior to taking office, he worked for 19 years on Pittsburgh City Council – seven years as a staffer then twelve years as a Member of Council. As a Councilman, Bill Peduto wrote the most comprehensive package of government reform legislation in Pittsburgh’s history. He strengthened the Ethics Code, created the city’s first Campaign Finance Limits, established Lobbyist Disclosure and Lobbyist Registration and ended No-Bid Contracts. As Mayor, Peduto continues to champion the protection and enhancement of Pittsburgh’s new reputation – maintaining fiscal responsibility, establishing community based development plans, embracing innovative solutions and becoming a leader in green initiatives. — The Peduto administration is working to ensure that everyone benefits from Pittsburgh’s transformation and growth because, “If it’s not for all, it’s not for us.”

Khalil Scantling; Founder, CocoaPreneur
Khamil Scantling is the Founder and operator of cocoapreneur. Cocoapreneur serves as a liaison between the community and local Black businesses. The aim is to make Black businesses better equipped to serve the communities in which they reside

Gina Winstead; Director of Member Engagement, Pittsburgh Technology Council
Gina Winstead, born and raised in the once booming steel town of McKeesport PA, has always been driven by her appreciation for community activism, social justice and a desire to find creative solutions to promote her hometown and the city of Pittsburgh. After studying Psychology and graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, she has worked in the private and public sector engaging in community projects, social services and the energy sector. In her down time, she can be found immersed in one of America’s National or State Parks with her dog, Pickle, in her backpack.
